The project is called the Star-Compute Program and aims to address the issue of limited radio channel bandwidth. The goal is to process data directly in space. The first carrier rocket, named "Chang Zheng-2D," has already been launched, putting 12 satellites into orbit.
The implementation of the idea is handled by the private company ADA Space in collaboration with a team of researchers from Zhejiang Lab. The complex will provide a performance of 5 PFLOPS and a memory capacity of up to 30 TB, with a data exchange rate between satellites reaching 100 Gbps.
Everything will operate based on supercomputers, artificial intelligence, and laser communication, creating a unified technological synergy. One of the satellites will be equipped with a gamma-ray burst detector to identify powerful energy bursts on the planet.
