Anzor Musayev, the head of Rosobrnadzor, announced a significant success for AI during the Unified State Exam (USE). The technology identified a violator whose behavior seemed suspicious and flagged it. It later turned out that the student did indeed have a gadget on them.
The new system is embedded in the "Watch the USE" platform. It analyzes students' actions, detecting the presence of cheat sheets, phones, micro-earpieces, and virtually any other attempts to cheat. All signals are additionally checked by teachers, but the final decision on a violation is always made by a human.
The system has been in development for five years and is now capable of independently spotting violations even without observers in the classroom.
