Artificial Intelligence from the Creators of TikTok Breaks into the Top Global Image Generation Models

ByteDance’s development — an AI model called Seedream 3.0 — has unexpectedly surged to the top spot in the image generation model rankings by Artificial Analysis.

At the time of publication, GPT-4o had already reclaimed the number one position, but the Chinese-developed model still holds a leading place in generating photorealistic images and anime-style artwork.

It’s worth noting that the model is not yet available to the general public, but its technical documentation reveals the following: ByteDance’s model generates images with a resolution of up to 2048×2048 pixels. It also employs a training paradigm that accounts for defects and uses a biaxial joint data sampling structure.
